Thursday (03/10/13):
Early rise (8am), express boat to Rottnest (Island off the East coast). Bike hire (massive leg wiggling sesh up and down the hilly snake infested island - 22km at least). Amazing wildlife: Pelicans, Dolphins, Whales, Sealions, Osprey, Skinks and Quokkas.... Sadly no snakes. Snorkeling and sunburn were in abundance.

The sky put on it's very best outfit for us. Sunburn ahoy.
The big regal looking Osprey (we thought they were Eagles).
The air was rife with the word 'Idyllic', and vast swathes of 'wows' at the magnificent views.
The whales were teaching their whale apprentices ('Calves' to the initiated) the ins and outs of their epic occupation..
The illusive Quokkas hop like Kangeroos but look like large cat-sized mice.
Ricely Beach
The splendid ex-lodgings of the local crustaceans. We then moved onto the Basin, a lovely snorkeling spot.
